Yoichi Winery
“Yoichi Winery,” where you can enjoy a meal together with wine produced with Yoichi grapes
“Yoichi Winery” is the first winery in Yoichi to produce wine using locally-grown grapes. Ever since apple trees were first planted in Yoichi in 1875, it has been the district with the most thriving fruit growing industry in Hokkaido, including grapes and pears. And from 1974, the winery began production of “Yoichi Wine”, which it now produces by joining forces with contract farmers who have tended the vineyards for over 20 years on the land perfectly suited for cultivation. At the winery, in addition to tours where you can observe winemaking, bottling and storage facilities, there is also a shop and a restaurant. You can enjoy the taste of pasta made with Hokkaido wheat, Hokkaido beef hamburgers and pizzas baked in an oven burned with wood from Hokkaido broadleaf trees, together with some Yoichi wine.
