Sapporo Racecourse
The new Sapporo Racecourse is a racecourse that can be enjoyed by the whole family, with comfortable rooftop terrace seating
Sapporo Racecourse is a racecourse in the heart of Sapporo where JRA (Japan Racing Association) horse races are run, and in July 2014 it will have its grand reopening, with greatly renovated spectator stands. If you are going to watch the “Hokkaido Series” held at Sapporo Racecourse during the summer season, we recommend “Moiwa Terrace”, the 120 meter long terrace seating on the second floor of the newly-built stand. They are seats from which you can see the whole of the course, as well as get a view of the city of Sapporo and Mt. Moiwa. In addition, there is the “runway”, where you can see the horses up close, “makiba garden”, where the paddock is on display, and “Kids Land”, which also has a tree house, making it a leisure facility with extensive facilities that can be enjoyed by the whole family.
