NORBESA

Landmark in the Susukino entertainment district
The only Ferris wheel on the roof of a building in Hokkaido

It would be hard to miss the huge Ferris wheel at the top of NORBESA in the Susukino district. The NORBESA is a complex commercial facility that includes more than 30 fashion and amusement stores along with a variety of restaurants. After enjoying shopping, visitors can go ride the Ferris wheel on the 7th floor. As you ride the only Ferris wheel on the roof of a building in Hokkaido, the scenery changes from the Susukino entertainment district where the facility is located to the expansive view of the streets of Sapporo. It is interesting to see a moving view of Sapporo since a Ferris wheel goes up, then returns to its original position. During the winter, it becomes illuminated with lights and is a popular destination for taking pictures.
