Asahiyama Memorial Park
Asahiyama Park was built in 1970 to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Sapporo. From the lookout point located at an elevation of 137.5 meters, the Ishikari Plain, city of Sapporo, and even the Sea of Japan can be seen. The park attracts many couples especially at night, when the illuminated fountain adds a special touch to the glittering lights of central Sapporo.

Open until 9pm on Fridays, Saturdays, and days with astronomical phenomena such as meteor showers (closes at 5pm as usual in case of bad weather) Fountain : 10am to 8pm (Operating daily from late April to late October) *Operation may be suspended because of bad weather or due to fountain cleaning. |
