For those who would love to travel in Sapporo and beyond, but are worried about the difficulty of moving around for long periods of time without a wheelchair, we recommend using a wheelchair rental service. The Free Wheel Network (by Ido Support) is a service used by many foreign visitors to Japan that allows visitors to pick up and return wheelchairs at New Chitose Airport through e-mail bookings ahead of time. Since it can take a while to deliver your preferred wheelchair, reservations must be completed at least one week in advance.
