Notice of change of opening hours for Hokkaido Sapporo “Foods Tourism” Information Center (Hokkaido-Sapporo Tourist Information Center)
As a part of measures to prevent the spread of novel coronavirus, the following opening hours will be changed.
Effective Period: Thursday, March 5 – Tuesday, March 31, 2020 (Expected) Opening hours: 8:30 AM – 7:00 PM (shortened by one hour)
The opening hours for each facility are as follows.

Moerenuma Park (Glass Pyramid) Closed from Sunday, March 1st to Thursday, March 31th
Mount Moiwa Ropeway Opening hours from March 3 – 15 will be changed to 12:00 PM – 10:00 PM, with the last cable car up at 9:30 PM. ※The ropeway will be closed March 16th to April 24th for maintenance.

Sapporo Smile Promo Video on Seasonal Charm Now Available
The City of Sapporo is carrying out a city promotion campaign on the theme of “smiles”. This video is packed with seasonal Sapporo charms such as rich nature and fun events.
Subways (as of 5:10 am on 2/22) Subway service was temporarily suspended immediately after an earthquake on 2/21 in order to inspect and confirm the safety of Subway facilities. Subway service has resumed on all lines.
Namboku Line: Operation resumed in both directions (as of 4:47 am on 2/22) Toho Line: Operation resumed in both directions (as of 4:15 am on 2/22) Tozai Line: Operation resumed in directions (as of 5:03 am on 2/22)
*Please note, due to effects of the earthquake, it is expected that service will not run on schedule on Friday the 22nd. Subways will run every 10 minutes starting from 6:30 am.
Rapid Service Airport (Sapporo to New Chitose Airport): in service from the first train Sapporo area lines (Hakodate Line, Chitose Line, Gakuen Toshi Line) will be resuming service as usual, with some scheduled services paused, including the first train of the day. Temporary Shelters
In response to the earthquake which struck at 9:21 pm on Thursday, February 21st, the Sapporo Ekimae Underground Walkway was opened for people to take temporary shelter in. As of 8:00 am on Friday the 22nd, the temporary shelter was closed and the walkway open for use as normal. The Sapporo Community Plaza, which was also open from 12:30 am on the 21st has closed as of 7:00 am on the 22nd.
Disaster response headquarter was set up at 21:22.
Pengumuman Patung Es Salju Festival Salju Sapporo!
Pengumuman garis besar dan patung es salju “Festival Salju Sapporo ke-70” yang akan diselenggarakan pada hari Kamis, 31 Januari hingga hari Senin (hari Raya), 11 Februari 2019. Patung es salju sebanyak sekitar 200 buah berukuran besar dan kecil akan dibuat di 3 lokasi di dalam kota Sapporo.
Di lokasi Odori (mulai 4 Februari dan seterusnya) yang menjadi tempat utama akan hadir patung es salju seperti Hatsune Miku, karakter Star Wars, gedung bersejarah luar negeri, dan sebagainya serta ring seluncur, papan loncat raksasa untuk ski dan snowboard, disertai dengan hadirnya stan untuk menikmati kuliner Hokkaido. Pada tahun 2019, di samping kehadiran pemetaan proyeksi yang memiliki popularitas tinggi akhir-akhir ini, akan hadir pertama kali rencana penggunaan AR (realitas tertambah) dengan teknologi digital terbaru untuk memperingati perayaan ke-70 tahun.
Ring seluncur di lokasi Odori 1 chome mulai beroperasi sejak hari Kamis, 31 Januari.
Di lokasi Tsudome (mulai 31 Januari dan seterusnya) Anda dapat menikmati permainan musim dingin seperti papan luncur salju sepanjang sekitar 100m, rakit salju, labirin salju, dll. Di dalam fasilitas dalam gedung juga akan juga akan diselenggarakan pameran kuliner Hokkaido, permainan berukuran besar, acara panggung, dan pengalaman membuat teh hijau.
Di lokasi Susukino (mulai 4 Februari dan seterusnya) akan hadir 60 buah patung es dan bar es.
Mulai hari Jumat, 14 Desember akan dijual suvenir peringatan resmi seperti lencana peringatan, lencana kaleng, tali, gantungan kunci, dll. Suvenir akan dijual di Pusat Informasi “Makanan & Wisata” Sapporo, Hokkaido, dan di berbagai tempat di dalam kota Sapporo.
Jangan lupa untuk membawa pakaian anti-dingin dan penahan sepatu tergelincir saat datang ke lokasi Festival Salju Sapporo!
